One of the crew's favorite jobs
Light demolition is one of the jobs our crew enjoys most. Mostly that means the small structures in a backyard: an old shed, a playground or swing set the kids outgrew, and other small outdoor structures that need to come apart before they can go.
Sheds come up a lot. We take down about 15 to 20 a year, metal and wood. Metal sheds get broken into sections, and we separate the recyclable metal. Wood sheds get taken apart piece by piece so they load tight in the truck. The crew wears gloves and safety glasses, plus masks or respirators when the job calls for it.
We take it down, load every piece and haul it away in the same visit. Then we clean up, so what's left is the yard, not a pile of boards and hardware waiting for a second trip. We see a little more of this work in Menifee than anywhere else, but it comes up in Murrieta and Temecula too, and spring is when a lot of homeowners finally get to it.
One tip, whoever you hire: ask whether the company carries liability coverage before anyone starts swinging a hammer on your property.
